Basic Operation

Do Not Disturb (DND)

This function will send all calls directly to voicemail with no audible or visual indicators of an incoming call. The screen will also depict that you are in DND mode as seen on the right.

Navigation Keys

Located in the center of the phone is a directional pad (d-pad) in the center of the d-pad is a select button. To the left of the d-pad is a confirm key represented as a checkmark. To the right of the d-pad is a cancel/ exit key represent by an x.

Identifying Calls

Line Keys?

You might be wondering where all your line keys have gone. But not to worry, any call not made directly to you will have a prepended identifier on the caller id. In the photo example, you will notice that the user "Neil Mueller" has called the "IS Help Desk" Line. The text on the screen will scroll giving you all the information.

Making Calls

No more 9!?

That's Right! You read it here first, you no longer need to dial 9 for an outside line. In fact, we will even add the 1- in front of the area code for you as well.

Contact Lookup

Directory

Your desk phone is equipped with a built-in directory. You can access it by pressing the physical directory key. By default, input is accepted via T9. for example, to find buzz, press 22,88,9999

Quick Dial

Quick Dial is an elegant way to lookup directory contacts with little fuss. This is only accessible from the phone home screen. In this case, to find Buzz, we would press 2,8,9,9

Hold

Placing a call on and off hold is as simple as using the "Hold" and "Retrieve" keys. The big change will be when dealing with multiple calls, and moving the call from one phone to another. This one will get take some getting used to, so take your time and practice. With the loss of line keys, you can think of one call per screen. Making a second call is as simple as placing a call on hold and then just dialing and making a new call. In order to move between calls, you will need to press the "Right" soft key on the phone to scroll through your list of active calls until the desired call is displayed and press "Retrieve".

Call Waiting

Building from the foundations of one call per screen call waiting works just the same. When a second call arrives a "Right" button will be made available to you. The difference here is we have defaulted the new call to show on screen, and your active call to be on the secondary screen. In doing so you will be equipped with the information you need (incoming line & caller ID) to know if you need to take the new call or not. To answer the new call simply press your answer button "Check Mark" the phone will automatically place your current call on hold and it will be available by pressing right then pressing "Retrieve"

Ad Hoc Conference Calling

On the fly conference call

If you've been trying the above features or paying close attention to the videos/images, then you have seen the "conference" button. Just as the title says, this is used for Ad-hoc / impromptu conference calls; to schedule Audio or Video calls, please Click Here. How does this work? Well, it's simple if you have two or more calls, press the "conference" key, then use the D-pad to add the desired participants. If you are just on a call with one person and want to add a third person, you can still press the conference key - this will put the current call on hold and allow you to make a new call. Once the caller has answered, you can then press "Join"
