3CX Has dynamic audio conference bridges. There is no need to reserve an audio bridge in outlook; in fact, you no longer can. You can set up an Audio/Video meeting in advance using the 3CX client or setup an ad-hoc call via your telephone. To set up a conference call on the fly you will dial 8000 from a City phone or 3CX app it will then prompt you to enter a conference ID. To create a conference just enter a 4 to 6 digit number and press pound. you will give this number to anyone that needs to join the conference. For example, you could just use your extension number to make it easy and avoid conflict. While ad-hoc conferences must be created internally once they are set up anyone can join from the outside by dialing (760) 839-6301 and entering the conference ID
From the 3CX App, you can click meet on the left-hand menu to access the conference module. By default, it will take you to the Quick Meeting conference screen. From the top navigation menu, you can choose to view your scheduled meetings or schedule an instant meeting or future meeting using the icon. It's highly recommended when setting up meetings to click the cog icon and unselect "Meeting starts once organizer joins" Also to give everyone sharing capabilities check "Co-Host: Allow participants to control each other audio & video". For reoccurring meetings set the date to be one year in the future, then you can modify the Outlook calendar (ICS) file when sending it out. Changing this file has no effect on the meeting itself. The meeting link is good anytime through the days' end of the meeting date.
If you do not wish to schedule a meeting or use a dynamic room URL as described above everyone is set up with a Click2Meet URL. This is a custom meeting URL specific to you that remains static and can be given out. The link will typically be made up of your first and last name for example Buzz Lightyears link would be https://3cx.escondido.org/meet/buzzlightyear Please note that the link is not active until you start the meeting - meaning no one will be allowed to join.
